Back on the subject of DC films, after seeing Joker I can honestly say I hope to see it get a sequel and hopefully we see a true resurgence of R-rated comic book films. What an amazing film, and to finally see The Joker done right with an R-rating. Indeed.

Swamp Thing is a character who'd likely benefit from an R-rating as well. His stories can get pretty dark and violent.

If they won't bring back the show on the DC Universe app, they should at least give him a few movies, especially those being R rated considering that the show itself is R rated.

With the success of Joker, R-rated comic book films may be just the next big thing for comic book films and we can only hope.

With the success of Joker, R-rated comic book films may be just the next big thing for comic book films and we can only hope. From what I checked on the Box Office Mojo website, the film is over half a billion dollars worldwide. It's over $500 something million and THIS IS THE SECOND WEEK IT'S BEEN RELEASED!!! So, hopefully, most likely, we'll be getting more R rated comic book films. Just as long as they're good in terms of quality like Joker and Deadpool.

Excellent news. One can only hope studios and producers are taking note and inspired by this.

The original Swamp Thing is actually pretty violent in parts and there's no way it'd get a PG rating these days. Swamp Thing is another character who'd arguably really benefit from an R-rating.

Exactly. Swamp Thing totally deserves a new R rated movie. It would be awesome if they used the same people from the new show for a feature film.

With a bigger budget, more resources and the freedom of an R-rating I'm sure the makers of the show would deliver something good.

If they did what they had done with Joker in terms of giving it more resources, a bigger and reasonable budget, and the freedom of an R rating, I think that a Swamp Thing film would be awesome! Wishful thinking but maybe a petition is in order for that.

I truly do hope Joker's success leads to more R-rated comic book films. DC has quite a few other characters who'd benefit from the rating, and the Justice League Dark line-up is a prime candidate to receive the treatment.

Marvel has their share of characters too who can benefit from an R-rating as well. Here's to hoping we don't see the likes of Blade geared for a family audience.

Blade shouldn't be geared for a family audience under ANY circumstances. And seeing how ULTRA SUCCESSFUL Joker has turned out to be, the new version of Blade better be aimed at older audiences. Still, he's stuck with Disney and Lord knows what they may do to him.
