I can't remember if I mentioned Night Of The Creeps before, but that has a definiite EC-like feel to it. Moreso with the much darker ending of the Director's Cut.

Always loved Night of the Creeps. It actually had some really heartfelt scenes in it too like when his best friend leaves him the recording

I'm a fan of the film, too. The director Fred Dekker also directed The Thing From The Grave for TFTC Season 2.

I highly recommend Seconds(1966). Could easily be a long TFTC or twilight zone episode

I'll be sure to give it a look. Not sure if I've ever heard of it but you've gotten me interested.
Lucio Fulci's Zombie is another that feels like it could've been a TFTC Presents film. The dark ending of it in particular is right at home in an EC Horror comic. I can just imagine the Crypt Keeper with his manical cackling laughter during the ending.

I recently watched The Wraith for the very first time and it kind of feels a bit EC-esque to me, but in a way more like if the TFTC writers took a shot at writing a superhero film. It's an awesome movie and I feel like kicking myself for having not seen it sooner. It's like a superhero revenge film and has a TFTC-like spark to it. Also notable in that one of the actresses in it, Sherilyn Fenn, was actually in a TFTC episode as well (You, Murderer).

It literally was always on in the late 80’s early 90’s. Here is an interview with the director Mike Marvin if interested m.youtube.com/watch?v=ubr3iUVodwU&t=512s

Oh that's awesome. I remember WPIX in New York showed it quite a bit back in the day along with scores of other Horror films. Whoever ran that station back in the day must've been a big Horror fan. Just about every weekend afternoon they'd show a different Horror film or two. So many great memories. I believe this is the promo in question I caught back in the day:
MonsterVision showed it back then as well, evidenced by this promo:

In fact I remember I was an altar boy and had to serve mass the same day I wanted to watch this so I had to record it on the vcr. Brings back memories for sure. Just to let you know they released(or will soob) a special edition bluray

Yes, I actually bought it as soon as it came out. I'd always been curious to see it so I just blind bought the Blu-ray. Definitely one I don't regret, awesome movie.

Anybody who has seen the Crow will notice how similar the plots are but the wraith came out years before.

I noticed that as well. The Wraith and The Crow would make a good pairing, along with Darkman.

The Wraith unfortunately fell through the cracks. It got a limited release but found an audience on video. Also the director Mike Marvin didnt direct much after that because I A stuntman died during filming which i don’t think was his fault but he took a brunt of it

That's unfortunate about the stuntman. It's a shame Mike Marvin didn't direct more, he did a really good job and the stunts and action rival anything you'd see in a multi-million dollar blockbuster. The fact it's all done in-camera with nothing digital makes it feel so much more real. It's a shame the film didn't do better back then but like so many others, it got a second shot at life afterwards thanks to video and TV airings. It really has the feel of a comic book story EC would've ran as an issue of one of their Horror titles, their take on a superhero revenge tale.

Yeah that’s why I love 80’s-90’s films much more than the modern stuff. Back then a small budget and even medium budget movies looked as good if not better than the 200 million budget films of today. Also I enjoy the hybrid western aspect. Similar to Near dark Wraith is part sci-fi/horror part western
